Major Singleton is the owner of Major Money Matters, powered by Edge Home Finance. Before becoming a Mortgage Broker, he was a retail loan officer and top producer at a very large retail lender specializing in VA loans. He is a U.S. Navy veteran of 23 years, which he served as a Surface Warfare Officer onboard multiple ships around the world. Since a young age, he's had a passion for training and education; now, he educates families on mortgages. He states his mission clearly: share the importance of homeownership, economic news, financial stewardship, responsible use of credit, and how to make the best decision on mortgage products. Major believes people deserve to know how to save thousands of dollars when making possibly one of their biggest purchases/investments. It's important for clients to not only know what to do but also why to do it. His brand, Major Money Matters, was created to do just that. Not only is he serving realtor partners and families as a mortgage broker, but also advising others by broadcasting on mortgages, money, and more via the Major Money Matters YouTube and Instagram Channels. Major consistently ranks in the top 1% of mortgage originators nationwide, leads a team of 50+ loan originators, and is nationally recognized as one of today's foremost industry leaders. Due to his leadership and business acumen, he was recognized as the Association of Mortgage Experts (AIME) 2024 National Mortgage Broker of the Year.
Major and I have been married for nearly two decades. While I recently officially joined his team, I have been by his side as he has built Major Money Matters. I help Major onboard new loan officers to the team, set up trainings for realtors, and focus on brand development. I am also a veteran, having served in the Navy for five years. We have four children and a dog, and make our home in Texas.
I have been a part of Major’s team since the beginning of his mortgage career. I was one of the first people that he helped to buy a home. The experience was so great that I decided to join his team. You are most likely to work with me when we are structuring your loan and determining the best loan product for you in the pre-approval stage. My husband is a retired Marine and we make our home in Hawaii with our two children.
Major and I met when we worked together at a previous loan company. I joined his team because I believed in him and the impact that he would have in the mortgage business (I WAS RIGHT). In addition to being a processor, I am his Production Manager advising him and the team on loan guidelines and how to accurately structure files for underwriting. My husband retired from the Air National Guard. We live in Texas with our 3 children, 3 cats, and 1 dog.
I have known Major and his family for over a decade. He and my husband are best friends who served in the Navy together. My role is to make the overall buying experience smooth from start to finish. You are most likely to work with me during Major’s special events and seminars, while you are in pre-approved status, and post-closing. My husband (active duty) and I make our home in San Diego, CA. Our twins attend LSU (Geaux Tigers!)
I joined Major’s team shortly before he became an independent broker to help him handle the volume of clients that we were serving. Today, I am one of his loan processors. I handle the details of your loan when presenting your file to an underwriter to include income documentation/explanation, homeowner’s insurance issues, and coordination with your title company for signing. My husband is now retired (Navy) and we live in Montana with our son.
